Anna graduated from Cambridge University in 2009, before gaining a masters in Law from Queen's University, Belfast. Anna commenced her apprenticeship with Carson McDowell in 2011, and obtained her professional qualification from Queen's Institute of Professional Legal Studies, before being admitted to the Roll of Solicitors.
She specialises in Information Law and has assisted a wide range of companies and organisations in relation to compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including providing training, carrying out data protection audits, and drafting documentation.
Anna regularly assists clients with complex data protection queries, including around subject access requests. She frequently deals with freedom of information matters, and queries arising out of the environmental information regulations. Anna has assisted in relation to a number of cases that have come before the Information Rights Tribunal. She advises in relation to the management and containment of data protection breaches, and investigations by the Information Commissioner’s Office. Anna works within the Healthcare team at Carson McDowell and assists in the defence of healthcare professionals.
