Jodie is a Solicitor in the Defence Insurance Litigation team at Carson McDowell.

After having spent a year studying at Université Jean Moulin (Lyon III) in France, Jodie graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2018 with a First Class Honours in Common and Civil Law with French and was ranked first in her degree course.

Jodie joined Carson McDowell as a trainee in September 2018 and qualified as a solicitor in September 2020, following completion of her studies at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies, where she obtained a postgraduate diploma with distinction.

Since qualification, Jodie has specialised solely in defence litigation. Jodie acts on behalf of a number of insurance companies and self-insured clients and specialises in the defence of a wide variety of public liability, employer’s liability and road traffic claims. Jodie is also heavily engaged in assisting the team in the defence of applications issued under the statutory redress scheme regarding allegations of historical institutional abuse in Northern Ireland.

Jodie was also admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in the Republic of Ireland in 2021 and acts in the defence of a wide range of personal injury claims both in the High Court and Circuit Court.
