Lynsay graduated from the Ulster University in 2013 with a 2.1 in (LLB honours) Law with Criminology and received a diploma in International Academic Studies after spending a year studying at the University of Salzburg in Austria.

Having graduated from the LPC at the University of Law in Chester, she completed her training contract at a leading law firm in Belfast, and joined the Banking and Finance team in Carson McDowell upon qualification in September 2019.

Lynsay is qualified to act in both England and Wales and Northern Ireland. She works closely with Partner Sinead McGrath and advises a wide range of local, national and international banks, financial institutions and corporate borrowers on all aspects of banking and finance law including general corporate lending, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, real estate finance and advice in relation to acquisition of loan portfolios.

Recent transactions on which Lynsay has advised include:

  • Advising on the NI law aspects of £220m bank funding to Fibrus Limited.
  • Advising various corporate clients and local banks with arrangements for credit facilities and associated security packages.
  • Providing banking and finance specific advice in relation to various corporate reorganisations, mergers and acquisitions and real estate transactions.

Advising on the acquisition of a number of loan and residential mortgage portfolios and post completion registration requirements in Northern Ireland.
