Darren Costello

Darren is a Senior Associate Solicitor in the Healthcare team at Carson McDowell. He is qualified to act in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Darren specialises in the defence of clinical negligence claims taken against hospitals and individual healthcare professionals. He has advised clinical indemnifiers in respect of a broad range of clinical negligence claims in the Coroner’s Court, Circuit Court, High Court and Court of Appeal.

Darren graduated with a First Class Honours BSc (Hons) in Science from University College Dublin in 2009. He then went on to obtain a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from Dublin Institute of Technology and qualified as a solicitor with the Law Society of Ireland in 2015.

Darren joined Carson McDowell’s Healthcare team as a Senior Associate Solicitor in Dublin in April 2022. Prior to joining Carson McDowell, Darren worked for another leading Tier 1 firm in Dublin specialising in Healthcare Law.
