Judith Rountree

Judith is a Senior Associate within the Defence Insurance Litigation team at Carson McDowell.

She studied Law at the Northumbria University at Newcastle Upon Tyne graduating with a 2:1 (LLB Honours) degree where she also completed her Legal Practice Course.

Upon qualification in 2009 she joined the Commercial Litigation team of a well-recognised and award-winning firm in Berkshire for 10 years were she undertook complex high-value commercial and property litigation. She swiftly rose through the ranks to Senior Associate having won the national LawNet award for Young Lawyer of the Year in relation to her work in defending UK leading charities.

Judith then finally relocated home to Northern Ireland with her young family in 2019 where she joined a leading firm in defence insurance litigation. There she developed her skills into all nature of personal injury claims. She acted for various well-known insurers defending motor, employer’s liability and credit hire claims in both County Court and High Court.

She has since joined Carson McDowell in 2021 where she continues to use her depth of experience to specialise in the defence of motor claims, employer and public liability claims, and property related claims.

Judith has been admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales and Northern Ireland.
