Charlotte Keelty graduated from the University of Hull in 2007 with an LLB honours degree and attended the College of Law in York to obtain her professional qualifications (the LPC).

Charlotte completed her legal training at a full service law firm in York, before qualifying and being admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2012.

Charlotte worked in Clinical Negligence for 9 years acting on behalf of Plaintiffs. She supervised a team of solicitors and paralegals and gained extensive experience in a wide range of injuries, including high value birth, brain and spinal injuries. She also has experience with orthopaedic, surgical, oncology, infection, and GP claims.

After 9 years, Charlotte made the decision to work on the defendant side of claims and moved to Carson McDowell as an Associate Solicitor in the Healthcare Defence team. She acts on behalf of medical defence unions and clinicians in a wide range of medical claims. Her previous experience has been a huge benefit for this role and assists in scrutinising various documents in the claim in order to achieve the best outcome for her clients.
