Genevieve Hyland

Genevieve is an Associate on our Healthcare team. Genevieve was called to the Bar in 2016 and practiced as a Barrister at the Law Library, Four Courts, Dublin. She has a vast experience in all aspects of civil litigation.

Genevieve joined Carson McDowell in 2025 and specialises in the defence of clinical negligence claims. Genevieve advises our healthcare clients on all aspects of healthcare law. She represents healthcare clients in the defence of medical malpractice claims with experience in handling complex high-value matters. She is a skilled litigator who gained strong advocacy, negotiation and dispute resolution skills during her time at the bar, with experience in the Irish Civil Courts, public inquiries and at inquests.
