Peter is a Partner in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution team at Carson McDowell and is Head of the firm’s contentious Intellectual Property practice. Peter qualified as a Solicitor in 2006, became an Associate Solicitor in 2012 and was made Partner in 2017.
Peter has particular expertise in intellectual property dispute matters, advising parties on both sides in trademark, patent, copyright and design right infringement cases. His expertise extends to a number of sectors including the technology, agri-machinery and materials handling industries, as well as the food and drink and the petroleum sectors.
Peter is also active within the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution team practising in contentious commercial, corporate and partnership matters. Peter has extensive experience advising on and litigating in complex contractual breach disputes relating to supply and manufacturing defect issues and disputes regarding non-performance of contractual obligations in the services and manufacturing sectors.
Peter graduated in 2002 with a LLB honours degree in Law from Queen’s University, Belfast.
Peter is ranked "Up and Coming" by the Chambers UK guide and The Legal 500 describes Peter as a notable name for disputes, particularly in relation to patent infringements. Peter is also recognised as a "Next Generation Partner" for his expertise in software patent and copyright disputes.
