Ruth O’Gara

Ruth is a Solicitor within the Commercial team at Carson McDowell. She advises on a range of commercial matters, including general commercial contracts, technology and innovation, intellectual property and data protection.

Having graduated from Queens University Belfast with an honours degree in Law (LLB), Ruth subsequently obtained a postgraduate diploma in Law with Business and Human Rights. Following this, Ruth worked as a Financial Consultant in First Derivatives and was primarily based in a major bank in Dublin and Belfast.

Ruth joined Carson McDowell in 2019 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2022, having obtained a postgraduate diploma with distinction from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies in Belfast. Additionally, she was awarded the prize for attaining the highest standard in the Solicitor Exit examination at the Institute.
