Stephanie graduated from the University of Ulster, Jordanstown in 2012 with an LLB Honours in Law. Upon graduating Stephanie worked as a Legal Executive in the Banking Lender Services department of a law firm in County Down.
Stephanie commenced her training contract in 2013 with another commercial law firm in Belfast. Upon qualification, in 2015, Stephanie qualified into the Private Client department.
Stephanie joined Carson McDowell in June 2016 and has been a member of the Healthcare team at Carson McDowell since April 2018.
Stephanie specialises in defending doctors, dentists and other healthcare professionals in relation to Professional Disciplinary/ regulatory cases, which includes investigations by the General Medical Council, General Dental Council, the Medical Council (Ireland), the Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman and investigations commenced by health and social care trusts under the MHPS Framework. Stephanie also assists doctors, and other healthcare professionals, in relation to Inquests.
Stephanie also has experience in defending healthcare professionals in relation to clinical negligence claims.
Stephanie is the Chair of the Northern Ireland Young Leaders Committee, a committee that was established to help young professionals in Northern Ireland develop their professional networks and leadership skills.
Stephanie is a former member of the Northern Ireland Young Solicitors Association.
Stephanie is a member of the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers Association.
Stephanie was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in the Republic of Ireland in January 2022.
