Carson McDowell advised Fane Valley in relation to its investment in Ready Egg Products Limited
The agri-food transaction team at Carson McDowell was delighted to advise Fane Valley in relation to the completion of its investment in Ready Egg Products Limited, and the creation of a joint venture with Lough Erne Investments Limited.
Fane Valley is one of the leading agricultural and food processing businesses in Northern Ireland, with interests in animal feed manufacturing, agricultural supplies including the provision of on-farm technical support services, porridge oats and breakfast cereals, fully-integrated duck production and processing, the production of beef dripping and the processing of edible offals.
Established in 1975, the Ready Egg group is now one of the leading egg companies in the United Kingdom, serving a range of retail, food service and manufacturing customers. Ready Egg Products acquired Skea Egg in April 2022, greatly enhancing its position in the Northern Irish retail market. Fane Valley and Ready Egg have worked very closely and successfully over a number of years. The joint venture will allow Fane Valley and Lough Erne Investments to work together to pursue further growth, to realise efficiencies and to drive improvements in the sustainability of Ready Egg’s products and processes.
The Carson McDowell team was led by Gerard Armstrong, supported by Dawson McConkey, Damian McElholm, Helena Park, Katherine Grant, Rachel Toner, Grant McBurney, Nicole McAlorum, Sarah Cochrane, Hannah McGrath, and Stuart Nelson.
