Dan Muldoon

Dan is a Solicitor in the Commercial team at Carson McDowell.

Dan graduated in 2022 with a first-class honours degree in Law (LLB) from Queen’s University Belfast. Following graduation, Dan worked in a financial services company in Belfast before joining Carson McDowell as a paralegal in January 2023. He commenced his training contract with the firm later that year.

Dan subsequently completed his traineeship with the firm and obtained his professional qualification from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies in June 2025, where he was awarded the Madeleine Donaghy Prize for Practice Management.

Admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of Northern Ireland in September 2025, Dan advises on a wide range of commercial matters including general commercial contracts, technology and innovation, intellectual property and data protection. Dan also advises clients across the entertainment and creative industries, including those operating in the film and television, music, gaming, and live events sectors, with a particular focus on contractual and commercial matters.

Dan is actively involved in the screen and creative sectors, regularly delivering skills and training sessions for industry professionals, students and emerging talent. He has presented at programmes and events including the Northern Ireland Screen Employability Skills Accelerator and the Foyle Film Festival and has delivered educational sessions to students at Queen’s University Belfast and the Nerve Centre, Derry/Londonderry. Dan also serves on the Board of the Oh Yeah Music Centre, supporting its work in developing the region’s music industry.
