Rachel is a Legal Director in the Banking & Finance team who is qualified to practice in both Northern Ireland and England & Wales.
She graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast in 2014 with a first class honours degree in Law with French (LLB). After graduation, she completed her studies at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Northern Ireland in 2016. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in England & Wales in 2022.
After qualifying, Rachel worked in the banking department of a leading Belfast law firm for several years, before joining Carson McDowell’s Banking & Finance team in December 2019.
Rachel has a wide range of experience in all aspects of banking and finance law, including acquisition finance, real estate finance, project finance, structured finance, restructuring and general corporate lending and borrowing.
She advises a wide range of domestic and international clients, including major financial institutions, alternative lenders, private equity investors and corporate borrowers across a variety of sectors.
Rachel is ranked as an ‘Associate to Watch” by Chambers and Partners.
