The Waste sector can be complex and tricky to navigate when it comes to regulatory compliance, enforcement mitigation, permitting regulations, planning, and health and safety.

In the UK, there are a number of environmental regulators, including the Environment Agency (for England); Natural Resources Wales; the Scottish Environment Protection Agency; and the Northern Ireland Environment Agency. All local councils have their own environmental health departments to assist in the enforcement of environmental regulations.
