With over 1 billion people on Facebook and 200 million people on Twitter, it is no longer possible for employers to ignore the impact that social media is having in the workplace. This seminar discusses the potential risks that social media poses to employers, common pitfalls and essential practical safeguards to protect your organisation.


Orlagh O’ Neill, Partner and Head of Employment Team at Carson McDowell LLP. 

Orlagh leads the Employment Team at Carson McDowell, advising a broad range of employers on their employment law issues. She is a Committee Member and Treasurer of the Employment Lawyers Group of Northern Ireland, a member of both the UK and Irish Employment Law Groups (ELA and ELAI) and a regular speaker at employment law conferences.

Sarah Cochrane, Solicitor in the Employment Team at Carson McDowell LLP. 

Sarah provides practical employment advice to employers from a wide variety of industries throughout the UK. This advice and assistance is given mainly to Human Resource officials and management and ranges from day to day ad hoc issues to more detailed, complex advice and project work. Sarah acts for clients in defending claims in the Industrial Tribunal and Fair Employment Tribunal.
