Advised Queens University, Belfast in relation to a software and services agreement with a US based supplier. This included advise on data flows, the suitability of data processing clauses as well as the implications of the transfer of personal data to country which was not the subject of an EU adequacy decision or a UK adequacy regulation.
We are regularly instructed by South Eastern Regional College to provide advice in relation to GDPR compliance. We were recently instructed by the College to develop bespoke template data processing agreements and data sharing agreements for use across the Further Education Sector in Northern Ireland.
Advised STATSports Group, a world-leading provider of wearable athlete tracking devices and analysis software, supplying equipment to a number of Premier League clubs, including, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City, on the data protection requirements for selling its products directly to end consumers and on its new cloud based service offering for business customers, allowing them to access and use Statsport’s software remotely for analysis of athletes’ data.
Advised Gig Grafter Limited, who operate an online rota software platform for the hospitality and retail industries, on the UK GDPR implications of Brexit on their cross-border business operations.
Providing an ongoing data protection advisory service to Londonderry Port and Harbour Commissioners. As the Port was deemed an essential service and was required to remain open during the pandemic, this resulted in increased data protection considerations for the Port which required specific advice on the implications of collecting employee Covid vaccination status, whether this was permissible under the legislation, the data protection impact assessment for this and the updated privacy notice and data protection policy to notify the relevant data subjects about the new purpose of processing. We also reviewed and advised on the Port’s CCTV policy and the extent to which personal data from the footage could be used and accessed.
